The Competition Shorts from New Amsterdam are crafted from a striped jacquard fabric and cut in a relaxed fit for effortless comfort and movement. It features a printed vintage-inspired sponsor logo on one leg, balanced by a subtle branded label on the other for a layered, archival feel. The design draws inspiration from the visual language of everyday surf contests, where Lycra is covered in sponsor logos from head to toe. Here, those references are reimagined through graphics sourced from old surfboard shapers, collected via forgotten business cards, giving the piece a nostalgic, authentic surf heritage character.
